Rub wear and creases top and bottom of spine and on corners. The book is in Good to Very Good Condition. The highest standard for a used book is Very Good. ![]() Would the 1000 unit printing be considered page proofs, samples, or for in house use? My understanding, and the standard I use, is that in order to be graded as Fine or As New a book must appear to be unread. I have no idea which print run would be considered first printing by a bibliophile. In 1929 a limited edition run of 75,000 copies were printed and offered for sale. Confusing situation as to print number - there were 1000 copies printed in 1928 by S&S but they were never offered for sale. Green cloth boards with gold gilt deer at center front.
